This hand harvested broom handle is one of a kind.   It is one of my all time favorites!  With all the disaster dye jobs I've done, this Broom contains a few.  But even though the dyes are not what I intended, they turned out gorgeous.  Woodland brown, rusty red, and dark blue & a little light blue broomcorn are crafted onto the ash broomstick (sanded, but unsealed), a suede hanging strap is added, and the broom is complete.  This broom will surely spark many conversations as the broomstick has intricate ash boring beetle trails throughout.  The beetles killed this ash tree and nearly all ash in our area, but don't worry.  Once the tree is dead, the bugs move on.  This branch handle has been dried for nearly 2 years.  Its incredible.

Each custom broom is crafted in our home.  The wood is gathered sustainably and responsibly,  by my husband and then turned over to me to craft our own dyed broomcorn into works of art.  There are truly no two brooms alike in our shop.
